
3D - world-ranking
The 3D - world-ranking contains
each highest-ranked competiton of the year. The bestscore of the competition
gets 1000 points. Listed players get points according to the average distance
to the bestscorer (1,00 average = 100 points), minimum number of points = 1.
Tournaments with finals: Players who are below the average and are not allowed
to continue playing in the final can get not more points then the last player
who is allowed to continue playing.
For the year 2000
the Asian championships were taken into consideration as follows: The 5 best
players of Asia played at World Championships in 1999 compared with the 5 best
players of Europe an average per round, which was 9,2 points higher than the
average of the Europeans. Therefore the bestscore for the Asian championship
in 2000 (Yuki Koshimura, average 33,5) is calculated as follows: 1000 points
minus 920 = 80 points.
For the year 2002
the Asian championships were taken into consideration as follows: Counted are
4 rounds, because men and women played the final round on different courses.
The 5 best players of Asia played at World Championships in 2001 compared with
the 5 best players of Europe an average per round, which was more than 10 points
higher than the average of the Europeans. Therefore the bestscore for the Asian
championship in 2002 (Cheng Tay Boon, average 32,50) is counted with the fictive
number of 200 points.
For the year 2004
the Asian championships were taken into consideration as follows: The 5 best
players of Asia played at World Championships in 2003 compared with the 5 best
players of Europe an average per round, which was 9,75 points higher than the
average of the Europeans. The bestscore of the Asian championship in 2004 is
counted still with a fictive minimum number of 200 points for the best participant
(Masashi Okutomi / average 33,67).
